-(DE) Double Ended Dreadlock Extension. A long extension folded in half creating two hanging sides. Length listed is the folded length. Double the volume! Braid down one side. 

-(SE) Single Ended Dreadlock Extension. A single extension with an attachment loop. (recommended for natural hair on the "thinner" side because of the lighter weight) All SE dreads will be made with an attachment loop. You can braid in or loop another dread as an accent. ***If you would like loose tops for the crochet install technique, write that in customized notes(semi-permanent). ​​​

 

-Material: High grade hendon Synthetic. No chemical coating from supplier. No Kanekalon. No barbie feeling hair here. I don't use any products/chemicals. I would highly recommend to give them a water & ACV soak, rinse well & hang to dry them before installing them. All pre-curled hair is a high grade Rebecca fiber, its soft and silky.

 

"Base" Dreadlock Extensions:

-Crochet- Crochet method, natural looking, will last the longest. 

-Twisted- Twisted Hair Locs AKA "standard" or "twist and seal".

-Handmade Wavy's- Waved Loose Hair that eventually "dreads'  up over time. I create these wavy's for each order and can vary in pattern. Higher maintenance required. Available in all colors other than pre-curled hair. 

-Ariel Curl & Anna Wave- Pre-Curled hair. I use this to create locs with either a braided center, crocheted or a puffed center which is offset on double ended. Higher maintenance required.

I recommend wavy's & pre-curled hair to be worn alone or with a few accent pieces.

"Accent" Extensions:

-Braid -a classic/standard 3 strand braid w/ loose ends.

-Spiral- two chunks of hair intertwined creating a twist w/loose ends. 

-ZiZag Braid, aka Chunky Braid- similar to a braid, has chunky hair on sides w/ loose ends.

 

A mix of all these in a set would be very textured and full of volume! 

 

Quantities:

Truly, people like different ranges of fullness, so the amount is really up to you. 

Double Ended suggestion: (You can do a bit more for single ended.)

• Peek a boo/ bottom accents : 5-10 locs (1-2 bundles)

• Partial : 5 - 20 dreads (1-4 bundles)

• Half head shaved : 20-35 (4-7 bundles)

• Full head w/ small undercut/bangs out : 40-50 (8-10 bundles)

• Full head : 40 - 65 dreads (8-13 bundles)

If you are new to dreads and want a full head, I'd suggest starting with about 45 DE or 60 SE so your scalp can get used to the braids and the new weight your hairs not used to. 

Keep in mind, double ended dreads give you double the amount, so installing 40 de dreads will give you 80.

• 24” (lowerish back)

To increase the length of your dreadlock extensions, offset them when installing so one side of the dreadlock hangs longer, giving the illusion they are longer.
